Agency Announcement - New Executive DirectorHerman Todd, President of Albion Neighbourhood Services is pleased to announce that Filomena Ferlisi has been appointed as Executive Director of the agency. As her mandate, Mrs. Ferlisi will lead the expanding operations of all departments of the agency, which include the provision of broad access to social services, homelessness outreach and housing assistance and a full range of Boys and Girls Club programming to residents of northern Etobicoke. During her 14 years with the agency, Mrs. Ferlisi excelled in her varied roles, the most recent being the Director of all Programs. Mrs. Ferlisi is further qualified for her senior role in the social services sector through having acquired an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree with majors in Psychology and Sociology from York University. Progressively since Albion Neighbourhood Services began in 1971, the agency has provided a broad range of assistance to residents of northern Etobicoke that enables them to access social benefits in many languages. The agency has also served the homeless throughout Etobicoke with shelter outreach and housing assistance, in addition to a comprehensive range of activities designed for children and youth in affiliation with the Boys and Girls Club of Canada. Albion Neighbourhood Services is a member agency of the United Way of Greater Toronto. The Board of Directors has every confidence that Mrs. Ferlisi's leadership and vision will continue to develop Albion Neighbourhood Services' ability to meet the expanding needs of our community. |
